Our goal is to be recognized by our clients and the industry as the best value provider of gas utility system engineering and consulting services in the western region. We hope to achieve this by providing you with responsive answers that you can count on and concise work products. Our principal engineers have extensive careers as utility engineers. They worked their way up through the operation’s ranks to become directors and managers. All of our employees are mentored by these experienced individuals. We know when to apply engineering science, when to use the standards and when to apply practical experience to reach a solution. This approach, combined with our company values of proficiency, quality, and integrity, has become our company culture. Katie Clapp

President & General Manager

She brings a diverse background in sales and education to the company. Katie has been involved with GTS since its inception and is the primary shareholder. She has served on the board of directors since the company was first incorporated in 2000, and she has been instrumental in developing and implementing many of the major policies, practices, and values which provide structure for the company’s daily operations.

Major accomplishments:

  • Developed and carried out Gas Transmission Systems, Inc.’s strategic plan to advance the company's mission and objectives to promote revenue, profitability, and growth as an organization.
  • Researched and developed Gas Transmission Systems, Inc.’s strategy for adding a partner.
  • Responsible for business-based review and recommendations to the board for all potential mergers and acquisitions.
  • Provided key support in the areas of human resources and financial affairs to Gas Transmission Systems, Inc., including implementation of new accounting software, creation of GTS employee manual and development of human resources policies. Established a marketing plan, including directing of consultants in the development of GTS, Inc.’s website, SOQ and other marketing materials.
  • Katie holds a BS in Business Management from the University of Nevada, Reno, and is a member of Vistage International.
