Don Anderson

Senior Consultant and Project Manager

Don has worked in the natural gas industry for more than 35 years, holding various positions including managing operations, supervising, and directing. He has experience in many facets of the industry, including technical support, distribution, transmission, and construction.

As a Senior Consultant and Project Manager at GTS, Don oversees the development of the SAP Preventative Maintenance Work Management System for PG&E’s gas distribution and transmission facilities. He is also responsible for running the Employee Development and Training program.

Major accomplishments:

  • Served as the Director of Gas Distribution where he managed the gas engineering, planning, technical field support, and operations engineering of the distribution system for PG&E. He was responsible for overseeing the maintenance program, asset management, budget allocation, pipeline replacement, and compliance for the gas distribution facilities.
  • As the Director of Electrical Transmission Engineering and Construction at PG&E, he oversaw major electrical capacity and reliability capital projects and managed more than $450 million worth of construction projects for distribution and transmission substations annually.
  • Don was the Southern Gas Operations Superintendent at PG&E where he managed the southern gas transmission TL300 and was responsible for the operation and maintenance of three compressor stations (104,000 BHP) and 3,800 miles of gas transmission pipeline.

Don graduated from San Jose State University with a BS in Industrial Management and Engineering. He received his MBA from California State University, Stanislaus.
