With assistance from GTS, Palo Alto Utilities has revised their Operator Qualification program for gas-line operators and re-tested them to ensure they are fully qualified to perform the regulated work.

Based on an employee’s accusation, the Department of Transportation (DOT) investigated the management of their Operator Qualification program. As a result of the accusation, Palo Alto Utilities launched a complete retraining and qualification of the gas department employees. GTS provided assistance with training development, employee training, and managing the operator qualification testing program. All employees were successfully qualified for their specific regulated work tasks.
