On January 3rd, 2012 President Obama signs H.R. 2845; Pipeline Safety, Regulatory Certainty, and Job Creation Act of 2011
This new law was enacted to provide for enhanced safety and environmental protection in pipeline transportation. Specifically, the new law requires owners or operators of a pipeline facility to initiate records verification of their transmission pipelines within 6 months after enactment of the law.
