Service for 5.5 MW Generator Facility

Project Description
Cache Creek Casino and Resort (CCCR) installed multiple CAT Generators capable of producing the 5.5 Megawatts needed to power the CCCR in case of a power outage. This project consisted of bringing a new service line capable of delivering 160,000 cubic feet of natural gas to CCCR’s new “Generator Facility” building. This involved tapping a 975 psi transmission line with a two-inch service running to a dual two-stage regulation station, and installing a corrected meter up stream of the building.

GTS Involvement
GTS provided all the engineering and design to produce the construction drawings and project specifications for this project.  GTS used its industry knowledge to select the regulators, monitors, and filters to drop the 975 psi delivery pressure to the required 5 psi at the Generator.  In addition to the engineering, GTS provided the construction management as well as all of the welding and installation inspection to be in compliance with CFR-Title 49.
