GTS has honed its Transmission Pipeline Engineering design expertise through hands on training by its senior and executive management teams who have over 150 years of combined utility experience. GTS has the experience and collaborative teamwork skill to be a valuable partner in support of transmission pipeline work streams and for developing program level engineering and design solutions. Successful project examples include: engineering, design and project coordination for 14 miles of new 30-inch diameter pipeline requiring CEQA approval, detailed route study, engineering services and project coordination for additional 26 miles of 30-inch diameter pipeline, development engineering responsible charge of strength test program of over 770 miles of hydrostatic test engineering and design and over 100 miles of MAOP validated via records research, Maximum Allowable Operating Pressure (MAOP) verification programs development, and in In-Line Inspection retrofit scoping and design to upgrade over 200 miles of unpiggable pipeline.
GTS’s engineers, with education backgrounds in mechanical and civil engineering, have design experience in pipeline and station engineering and design, ILI retrofit, in-situ hydrostatic testing, pipeline stress analysis and hydraulic modeling of transmission systems. In addition, GTS has significant experience performing: records research in support pipeline and station MAOP verification, data validation as an essential element of its engineering and design and client asset management, gas system clearance writing for both transmission and distribution assets and other data analysis for various utility programs.
