Hydrostatic Testing

GTS is a national expert in hydrotest engineering and project management having designed and managed hydrotest projects for more than 1,400 miles of in-situ pipe testing in rural, suburban and urban settings across the country including both short and long-line tests.  GTS helped to write the INGAA guidelines for hydrotesting including the guidelines for spike testing.  In addition to engineering and project management, GTS provides in-field support during the hydrotest and can confirm whether the test is successful using a hydrotest model.

Project managing a hydrotest can be complex with many issues to consider such as the source and quality of the test water, management of mercury in the pipeline, storage of the water in frac tanks or lake tanks, location of the tanks, location and permitting of the water discharge, acquiring CNG or LNG resources to support downstream loads, permit acquisition, etc.  GTS project managers are experienced and able to manage these complex projects efficiently to meet both compliance deadlines and tight.
