Update on Synergies Between GTS and KLF

Six months into our acquisition by Kleinfelder, GTS continues to exceed growth targets and milestones.  GTS is on pace to have one of the strongest, if not the strongest, years in the company’s history.  Contributing to this success are opportunities that GTS and Kleinfelder have identified and leveraged to develop value-added service offerings combining the experience and strengths of both to better serve our clients.  GTS is offering more turnkey solutions via bundling our traditional design engineering services with geotechnical and/or environmental services of our Kleinfelder parent that take advantage of our combined breadth to deliver economies of scale and scope savings.  The same goes for the opposite in which Kleinfelder project teams have expanded their services by reaching out to GTS engineers, drafters and project managers for design and data validation services.

In the 6 months since acquisition, together GTS and Kleinfelder have signed (or are in contract discussions) nearly $3 million worth of contracts from 25 different projects for shared services offerings.  One example of this is Kleinfelder enlisting GTS engineers to perform the preliminary piggibility study for an existing ILI retrofit contract with a large utility client in the Southeast.   Another example/perspective is GTS holding a station upgrade contract with a large utility on the West Coast and enlisting Kleinfelder to perform the geotechnical analysis and civil/structural design for a sizeable retaining wall needed in the station.

Looking beyond the short-term known opportunities, GTS and Kleinfelder Business Development teams are working together to formulate strategic plans to increase exposure to new clients and expand our service offerings to current clients.   Together, as one company, we are able to provide a more comprehensive suite of services that cover a wide breadth of areas (from project initiation to release to construction), allowing for turnkey solutions, increased efficiency, and with less orchestration needed by clients.
